Chatbot Go-Live Is Not the Finish Line: A 30-Day Operations Checklist
A 30-day plan for sources, answers, handoff, leads, errors and ownership to move a chatbot from demo into operations.

Go-live proves that the chatbot is installed and can respond. It does not prove that sources remain correct, visitors phrase questions like the test set, handoff works after hours or Sales receives leads. The first thirty days convert assumptions into operating evidence.
The chatbot should not silently learn and change approved content. Improvements require conversation review, fault classification, controlled change and regression testing.

Days 1–3: verify the complete path
Adapt to business scope, risk and operating capacity.
Test desktop and mobile widget behavior, consent, approved sources, out-of-scope handling, forms, success messages and fallback. Submit test leads end to end and confirm recipient, timestamp and transcript or summary.
Check monitoring, API failures, usage limits and the procedure to disable the bot or show a safe message when critical sources fail.
